The Blues Busters - Behold! - The Anthology (1961 - 1970)

n disco de 68 min. aproximadamente.

El sonido, aunque no esta remasterizado digitalmente, es bueno para la época. Esto vendrá como una sorpresa para los que piensan que esto es sólo otra versión de un disco de Trojan Records.

Esto no es reggae en cualquiera de sus muchos estilos. Esto es un buen viejo Rhythm amp; Blues americano, con solos de trompeta y el estilo dúo vocal de Lloyd Campbell y Phillip James.

Aproximadamente la mitad de estas canciones son originales y la otra mitad por diversos autores, tanto de Jamaica y Estados Unidos.

Algunos de los temas tienen una mezcla de Ramp;B y sonidos de reggae, que cualquier persona con conocimientos podria reconocer, aunque hay temas en los que se hace presente un magnifico Ska de primera clase.

En el tema numero 22, cabe destacar que es un tema Rocksteady verdaderamente espectacular, tanto las voces de Lloyd y Phillip, asi como la percusion, guitarra, bajo, y el organo hammond, hacen de este tema de verdad que me atreveria a decir, una de las mejores canciones Rocksteady que he escuchado.

Este es uno de los lanzamientos más interesantes que Troyan ha sacado últimamente.

Cualquier persona que goze de un buen Ramp;B, hecho con un poco de condimento de Jamaica, encontrara que se trata de una colección de temas que pondra y pondra cada vez que necesite una buena dosis de Ramp;B estilo jamaicano!

100% Recomendado!!!
